Ochre Teal is a Cloth Tone scent, designed by Jen Weih of Osmics. It captures the aromatic flora and scent of summer breeze along the shores of Okanagan Lake and up into the sandy hills of ponderosa pine and sage. The subtle blend of cedar, balsam, bergamot and sage is a perfect companion for the body and home- not only does it purify the air and awaken your senses - it chases away the moths in your cloth cupboards as well!

We are incredibly excited about the timely reemergence of textiles in art and design practices. Both locally and internationally the renewed interest in the culture of textiles from a historical and contemporary perspective is palpable. Whether tracing themes of gender, identity, consumerism, myth, materialism, colonialism, collectivity or psychological impact, the language of TEXTILES matters!
Here is a list of a few of the current exhibitions, symposiums and people that are contributing to this larger conversation about inter-disciplinary cloth culture in Vancouver and beyond!

Our interdisciplinary studio embraces local & ethical textile production within a growing community dedicated to sustainable, long-lasting goods that resonate with our day-to-day experiences.
We are exploring ideas around creating lasting goods with community members and artists and are looking forward to 2019 where we plan to work with the Lake Country Art Gallery on a project around these ideas.
Cloth Tone engages in curatorial projects that gather artists and designers together under themes related to contemporary textiles, environmental ethics, sustainability, the body and our well-being. Cloth Tone actively flows between art, fashion and design and thrives in a space where ideas and influences cross-pollinate.
Cloth Tone believes that textiles are embedded in our understanding of everyday experience and architecture, cultural traditions, labor practices, scales of production and environmental impact.
